How much does it cost?
The following fee structure will give you a good idea of the likely costs of one of my remote sessions:
“I’ve written a cello part and I just need it recorded”
Prices start from £100 for a track of up to 3 minutes. You can supply me with a notated part, a midi file or a recording of the part (sung or on another instrument).
“I’d like you to write the cello part to go with my track”
If you don’t have a part already written and would like me to write or improvise a cello line, this is charged at an additional £40 for up to 3 minutes. I’ll request a chart of the song to aid this process.
“I’d like multiple cello lines recorded”
Any additional lines such as harmony parts (called ‘overdubs’) are charged at £30 per line.
“I’m not sure what I need!”
I’m very happy to give advice on what would work best for your track. Be assured that I’ll always advise with the quality of the finished track as the uppermost consideration – whether that means just one solo cello line, or multiple harmonised parts.
